The Anderson Adult Education Center serves Anderson County School Districts Three, Four and Five. We believe that education is a lifelong process and does not end when you leave school. Please explore our site to determine if we offer the educational opportunities in which you are interested. We look forward to helping you obtain your goals.


The Anderson Adult Education Center is located 
in the historic old North Anderson Elementary 
School building at 2005 North Main Street.

Our Mission

The mission of the Anderson Adult Education Center is to provide educational opportunities that will help adult students reach their full educational potential and become more productive citizens.

 Attendance Eligibility

Attendance at the Anderson Adult Education Center is authorized by the Board of Trustees and Administration of Anderson School District Five. There is no state attendance law for Adult Education, attendance in our program is optional. Our programs are designed for adults over the age of eighteen. With the approval of the superintendent, students between the age of 17 and 18 may attend our programs.

Seventeen Year Old Students

A student who has reached the age of 17 and has withdrawn from high school, may apply for an underage waiver. There is a $20 non-refundable fee for processing an underage waiver application. Seventeen year old students must provide the following to be considered for enrollment:

  • Official Transcript from the last school attended*
  • Discipline record from the last school attended*
  • HSAP Scores
  • Completed Underage Waiver
  • $20 Non-Refundable Cash Application Fee

*The student must secure these from the last high school attended.

All students under the age of 21 must provide an official High School Transcript before they can be registered for class.

 Enrollment Requirements

Students may not enroll in adult education while under suspension or expulsion from another school. Active students who are awaiting trial for a criminal offense may not attend classes until their cases are resolved. The Director of the Anderson Adult Education Center reserves the right to limit or prohibit the attendance and/or enrollment of any student who is disruptive or potentially dangerous to staff or other students.

All students are required to attend an Orientation session prior to enrollment.

New Orientation beginning every Monday at 1:00. 
Students will be in Orientation from 1:00 -4:00 Monday through Thursday.

February 8, 9, & 11 5:30-8:30 pm
March 8, 9, & 11 5:30-8:30 pm
April 12, 13, & 15 5:30-8:30 pm
May 24, 25, & 27 5:30-8:30 pm
June 7, 8, & 10 5:30-8:30 pm
