Did you know that April is World Autism Awareness month? April is almost here and we had some great activities planned for the month to increase awareness within our school district and community. Unfortunately, with the current events some of our community events have been cancelled, but we are working on creating a digital plan! I will still be sending autism facts weekly and I hope that you will share those with your staff. Elementary school students will also be receiving a digital guidance lesson to complete as part of their elearning!
The first activity for the month is to Light it Up Blue for Autism Awareness! While we are not physically at our schools on April 2nd, the special education department invites you to light it up blue at home!!!
Join us on April 2nd as we Light It Up Blue for Autism Awareness. Wear something blue to show your support and share your pictures with us on social media. #A5lightsitupblue #A5speddifference Twitter: @DrHarperA5 Instagram: @acsd5_specialeducation
