Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson has had an elaborate career in education since graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from Anderson University in 2001. She the went on to 
Columbia College (M.Ed. Divergent Learning) and the University of Phoenix (EdD Educational Leadership). All the while, she also earned her Gifted & Talented endorsement,
Learning Disabilities certification, and her Read To Succeed endorsement.

She also worked across the state sharing her love of learning with students and future educators. She has previously taught at Southwood Middle School (now Southwood Academy of the Arts), Varennes Elementary School, Homeland Park Elementary (now Primary) School, served as Curriculum Specialist for Richland School District One, and was on the faculty at Southern Wesleyan University as the Director of Early Childhood Education. She is also a former Teacher of the Year here at Varennes and is on the Panel of Reviewers for PRAXIS.

Dr. Anderson has been married for 18 years to her husband Michael, and they share two children (Grant and Krissy). When she is not busy with being a lifelong learner and helping students find their voice through a book as the reading interventionist, she enjoys shopping and spending time with family.
