Class Description

  • Welcome to Mrs. Davis's Speech/Language Therapy site!
SPL therapy serves students with communication delays in the areas of articulation, language, pragmatics, fluency, and/or voice. Sessions are individualized for each student in order to address his/her specific needs. Parent involvement is an integral part of the child's progress and success. I look forward to working with you and your child this year.

Classroom Rules and Policies

  • Students attending SPL therapy follow the general school guidelines for student behavior. In addition, students are expected to heed the following rules within the SPL Room for the general courtesy and safety of themselves and others:
    1. Be in class on time.
    2. Follow directions the first time given.
    3. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
    4. Remain quiet when the lesson is being presented.
    5. Clean up your workspace before leaving the room.
Because of the severity and nature of some students' disabilities, rules may be modified (ex. certain students will be picked up from their classrooms by the SLP).
Consequences for misbehavior will be a warning, SLP/student meeting, parent contact, and finally, administrative referral.
