    We rehearse on Mondays from 2:45 – 4:00 

     They may eat a self-provided snack and

    take a restroom break  from 2:25 – 2:45 . 

     

    Please remember the following:

    Respectable behavior is expected from all chorus students during rehearsals and at performances.

    If this becomes an issue, the student will be placed on probation.

    If the behavior is severe, the student  may not remain in chorus.

    It is our goal to develop a chorus that will sing in tune, be expressive, and impress our community.

    Parents or guardians will need to provide transportation for any after-school rehearsals and performances. 

    After 3 late times of rehearsals or performances, the student will not be able to return.

  • Honors Chorus

     

    Several elementary schools join together to participate in a community choral clinic. The songs they perform are more challenging. Honors chorus students participate in an all-day choral clinic with a guest conductor and an evening performance that same night. 

    Rehearsals to prepare for choral clinic are usually held on Fridays. 

    Students missing 3 or more rehearsals will not be able to attend the clinic or performance.

    There is a $20 fee to help pay for the bus, the clinician, and for a t-shirt that will be used for the choral clinic and performance.  We accept cash or checks made payable to Calhoun Academy of the Arts.  Please be sure to include your phone number on the check.
