•           Welcome to my webpage! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with your child this year. My name is Cathy Mazza. I am an honors graduate of Anderson University and received a BA in Early Childhood, Elementary and Gifted Education. This is my tenth year teaching at Whitehall and I teach 5th grade ELA, science and social studies. In the past, I have been part of the Journey's History Grant, Project D-MKT2 Math Grant, and I have received my Gifted and Talented certification. I believe all students have the ability to learn. It will be my goal to create an atmosphere that leads students to explore and discover while working together, supporting each other, and respecting others views and beliefs. I am honored to have been awarded Teacher of the Year in 2013-2014 at Whitehall Elementary.
I love spending time with my family. I have three children; two boys and a girl. They live in Anderson, Charlotte, and New York City. My husband and I are so excited that we are grandparents for three of the cutest boys around. Our grandson's names are Tyler, Matthew and Wiliam. My hobbies are tennis, gardening, cooking and walking my dogs. I also love teaching and creating fun and engaging lessons for my students.
