For the 2019-2020 school year, all certified staff will need to earn 5 SimpleK12 Credits. Deadline for completion is May 15, 2020. The date range for completing this requirement is June 10, 2019 - May 15, 2020.
As educators, we are lifelong learners! We are constantly sharpening our skills and looking for new, innovative techniques to engage our students. In order to stay in step with the changing technology and best practices integrating technology, the district is providing professional development via SimpleK12 to all certified staff. As a part of the district strategic plan, one of our performance goals is to provide professional development for staff to accommodate the evolving technological needs of a 21st century learner. Our measure is 5 SimpleK12 credits each year. This is a district requirement for all certified staff. By providing this free training to all staff, educators can work on earning professional development points to count toward recertification credit.
If you have a Masters degree, you can use SimpleK12 to earn 60 recertification points. In order to receive recertification credit, you must submit your Transcript to Lisa Applewhite.
