    Mrs. Ann Huitt

    Ann Huitt is a graduate of Hanna High School. She attended Anderson University where she studied piano.
     
    Mrs. Huitt has three sons and three daughters who are all graduates of Anderson School District Five. She is a proud grandparent to eight grandsons and eight granddaughters. In addition, she  has one great granddaughter and one great grandson. She is a member of Roberts Presbyterian Church, the oldest church in Anderson County.
     
    She is retired from Shirley Huitt and Sons Auto Service, where she was office manager and bookkeeper.
     
    She has held the positions of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary while representing Area One on the Anderson District Five Board.
     
    Mrs. Huitt has been recognized by the South Carolina School Board Association for over forty years of service on the Anderson Five School Board. Through studies of the SCSBA Boardmanship Institute, Mrs. Huitt has reached Level Six, the highest level of achievement a member can receive. She has also served as a state representative for the National School Board Federal Relations Committee, where she attended congressional meetings every year to lobby for education.
     
    Her love of children has fueled her passion of seeking the best opportunities of education for all students.
