My name is Sacha Hunt and I am honored to be your child’s teacher. 2020-2021 marks my eighteenth year teaching. I have been teaching in Anderson for the past eight years, but I also taught for eight years in North Carolina, and I taught for a year in Tennessee before that. I have experience teaching both fourth and fifth grade.
I grew up in Connecticut and Tennessee. I went to Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, where I met my husband, Josh. We were married and moved to North Carolina in 2004. In 2009, I earned my Master’s degree from Gardner-Webb University, and in 2010 we welcomed our son, Jude, into the world. In 2017 we welcomed our son Sebastian into the world. Josh, Jude, Sebastian, and I are very happy to now call Anderson our home.
I love teaching because I enjoy watching students grow and change in ways that will make our future better. Some of the things I enjoy doing in my free time include traveling, cooking, reading, writing, singing in my church's choir, watching good movies and plays, and listening to great music, especially if it is live!
I can't wait to find out more about my students and their families. I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
