Garrett Thomason was born in Anderson, SC, and is a product of the Anderson School District Five school system.  Mr. Thomason graduated from Westside High School in 1999.  After gradtuion, he attended Coastal Carolina University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education.  After teaching for a few years in Greenville County, Mr. Thomason jumped on an opportunity to return to his alma mater.  While working at Westside High School, he earned a Master's of Education in Leadership and Supervision from Anderson University.  

Mr. Thomason has served many roles while at Westside: teacher, soccer coach, volleyball coach, department chair, Administrative Assistant, and Director of 9th Grade Academy.  He currently serves as Associate Principal.  Mr. Thomason truly believes that Westside High School provides students a great opportunity to excel academically, athletically, and artistically.
