Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year. It is my pleasure to be teaching your child in my classroom this year. This is my 3rd year at Robert Anderson Middle School. I have taught for 14 years in Anderson and Pickens Counties. I also have experience working with children and youth in Presbyterian churches.
This year, I hope for all of my students to grow academically. We will all have to work very hard together to accomplish our goals. We will also have some great fun learning along the way. I love to read and will work with my students on their literacy skills. These skills are important for all of us. We will also focus on daily math skills and communication skills needed for the work force.
I have high expectations for my students and will require a lot of effort, but I give a lot of effort to my students in order to see them succeed. I encourage all parents/ guardians to keep up with their child's grades using the parent portal and if you have any questions or concerns, please call or email me at school.
I will use GoogleClassroom to post upcoming assignments, test dates, and links to websites that will enhance learning. Please check back regularly to see what has been added. There will also be links to some fun sites to check out and help with academic progress. Go to Classroomgoogle and click on the "+" sign. Use the following codes to join by subject:
I am joined by by assisstant, Mrs. Susan Coulter. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom and loves working with the students. This is our 6th year working with one another. Together we try to provide the best possible educaiton for our students so we can help prepare them for high school and beyond with needed skills. We often team teach and plan together in order to enhance learning for our students.
Once again, if there is anything I can do to help or if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to set up a conference time, if needed. I am looking forward to another year at Robert Anderson and am happy to have your child in my class this year. Go RAMS!
