Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tamara Hefner
I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s teacher and eagerly anticipate working with each and every one. It is going to be a fantastic fun-filled year, full of learning and new adventures. I am excited to see what is in store for us! I want to share a few things about me.
My name is Tamara Hefner and I am married to a wonderful man named Christopher. Our family consists of one daughter, Meadow who is a junior in college. Before getting married and moving here to South Carolina in 2013, I was living and teaching in Pennsylvania.
My education journey began when I attended Georgian Court College in New Jersey and majored in Special Education. I graduated in 1996. Since then, I have taught many children in various grade levels and subjects. In May 2015, I earned a Master of Science Degree in Special Education. In 2021, I graduated from Furman University with an Education Specialist Degree in School Leadership.
I will be teaching your scholar to become a leader and life-long learner! I am excited to share this opportunity and experience with you and the scholars. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I have a love for learning and I would hope that my scholars will also learn to love learning as much as I do. By making the classrooms safe, fun, and disciplined, I hope that they will enjoy coming to our classrooms and learning something new every day. I feel that all children are different and require specific attention and differentiated instruction for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for each of my scholars; an educator who loves each child that walks through my door and gives each of them not only an education but also a passion to learn and flourish as an individual.
I believe that a successful teacher/parent partnership starts with an open communication line between parents and teachers via letters, email, and phone calls.
I look forward to working with you and your scholar throughout the 2022-2023 school year!
