My name is Mrs. Melissa Elgin and I would like to welcome you to Kindergarten. I have been in education for over 25 years.   For the first 15 years, I taught two-year preschool, then for two years I was a kindergarten assistant here at Centerville, then I taught first grade for five years and this is my third year in kindergarten as the teacher.   I have very strong ties to Centerville and I attended Centerville as a student and my two children attended as well. 

I have been married for twenty-six years to my hard-working husband, Ray, and we have two awesome children, Ragen and Tristan.  We all love the Atlanta Braves and enjoy watching and going to games together. 

I'm excited about beginning another year here at Centerville in kindergarten and feel so grateful for the opportunity to work with the other kindergarten teachers as well as the first-year kindergartners.
