• Where can I find my student's homework for the week?

    Posted by:

I do not assign homework. Students are expected to complete unfinished classwork or IXLs that were not finished in class and turn in those assignments on their due dates posted on the Google Calendar on my website.

If a student has all assignments completed they can review notes or Khan Academy to prepare for any upcoming quizzes or test.

  • Where are the notes from class?

In the back of class is a missing work folder, students who are out need to look there first for any notes that were taken in class and glue or staple into their notebook. If you need more notes or specific examples that we went over in class you need to go to Google Classroom, click on class folder and go to the Unit we are studying to see the notes and lesson that was completed that day.

Notes are also posted on my website for parents.

  • Does my student have a math book? Where can I find it?

    Posted by:

We have two. Our offical math book is online at PowerAlgebra, this is a great resource with step-by-step examples and practice. We will also have an interactive note book with examples and definitions that the students build. I allow students to take it home so long as they remember to bring it back to class, as there will be random notebook checks.

Students must use their Math Notebook to practice organized note taking. This book has foldables, with definitions and examples. I have my own copy in our classroom, where students can copy and try to replicate if absent.

A wonderful website to help with struggling concepts is KhanAcademy.org, which has videos, examples, and practice.
