Arrival and front carpet activities

Students will use the bathroom and wash their hands in the room.

Early morning group time

The teacher will select a leader and helper, conduct the letter of the week discussion, and allow students to participate in the SMARTBoard daily lesson.

Students will line up and make their way down the hall to the cafeteria

Breakfast

Natural conversation is encouraged.

Students will use the bathroom and wash hands, then make their way back to the classroom

Large Group Time

Study topics and books are presented.

Interest Areas

Children work in interest areas. There are teacher planned and child initiated activities with individuals and small groups.

Clean Up Interest Areas

As children finish cleaning up, they join the group for review of the morning group time lessons or music and movement opportunities

Indoor/Outdoor Play

Children use gym or playground equipment depending on the weather

Students will come back to the classroom from outdoor/indoor play, get a sip of water, and grab their lunchboxes

Rest Period

Because individual needs vary, students are not required to go to sleep, but must lay on their cots quietly.

Students are woken up from their naps and are called to get their things and pack their bags. Music and movement opportunities are presented as children wait for their parents to arrive.
