Hi, and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.  I am Crystal Qualls and I am so excited to teach First Grade this year at Calhoun Academy of the Arts.  I am a graduate of Anderson University and hold a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  This will be my eighth year teaching.  I have taught Kindergarten, First grade, Second grade, and Fourth grade. Teaching is my passion and I couldn't imagine doing anything else! 

I am blessed to have such a wonderful family.  I have a daughter, Emma Qualls, 7, and a son, Cooper Qualls, 2.

First grade is an extremely important year for students.My favorite thing about first grade is watching students love for reading blossom.  I can't wait to watch my students grow academically and socially this year. I am excited about this school year and I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
