Hi! My name is Courtney Harmon, and I teach sixth grade science and ELA. This is my fourth year at McCants but my ninth year teaching. Before coming to McCants, I taught fifth grade for four years and third grade for one year in A5.
I graduated from Anderson University in 2012, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In August 2015, I graduated from Clemson University with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision.
My husband Roy and I are blessed with two sweet (and sometimes crazy) children: a daughter, Jenifer Jane (JJ), who is 5 years old and a son, Roy5, who is 3 years old. They keep us busy and on our toes all the time! We are expecting twins in October of this year and are extremely excited!
Each year, I’m always amazed at how much fun learning can be with each child in the classroom. It’s going to be a fantastic year! I hope that I can instill a love of learning and a love of science, reading, and writing for your child this year.
