Welcome to English 1 and English 2!
I am looking forward to a very exciting, engaging, effort-filled, and collaborative (even online) year in English 1 and English 2! I am an alumni of Lander University, and my degree is English with Secondary Certification. Throughout my time at Lander, I was a Presidential Ambassador, Resident Assistant, and Orientation Leader. I recently graduated from the American College of Education with a M. Ed. in Advanced Studies (a major in English and a concentration in Online Learning and Teaching). I am an alumni of T.L. Hanna, and I am so thrilled to be able to teach at the school that helped to mold me. When I am not at school, I enjoy time with my family and friends, or even time outdoors or traveling-- every once in a while. I am in my third year of teaching, having taught English 1, English 3, and English 4-- throughout those 3 years. If you ever have any questions or concerns about class, please do not hesitate to email or ask me in person. The only way we learn is by asking the questions that matter to us, and I cannot wait to provide you with a love and excitement for English. Someone once said, "Reading is breathing in, and writing is breathing out." So lets get ready to breathe in and out this semester! I am excited to see you all in the classroom this year, and I am looking forward to a phenomenal year of learning and growth! Go Jackets!
