Dr. Angela W. Cox is a native of Belton, SC.  She currently resides in Simpsonville and was previously employed with the Greenville County School District for 20 years.  She served as an Instructional Coach and Test Coordinator for the Greenville County Middle School and High School Alternative Program for four years.  Prior to this position, she taught nine years at Carolina High School and seven years at Hillcrest High School.  Dr. Cox has been employed with Greenville Technical College for 11 years as Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor.

Dr. Cox received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University; Master of Science in Accounting from Strayer University; Education Specialist Degree in School Administration and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University.  She graduated in December 2019 with a Master of Education in Diversity and Equity from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign.  She holds certification in Business Education, Secondary Principal and has completed all the coursework for SC Superintendent Certification.  Dr. Cox has a passion for helping children, especially children that have been marginalized and from diverse cultural backgrounds, behavior issues, and children who are challenged.  She recently worked part-time with the South Carolina Youth Advocacy Program as an advocate, helping clients available in the area that needs services.
