Mrs. Broadwell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and General Science from Winthrop University. She received a Masters of Arts in Administration and Supervision from Furman University. She also received the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in 2002.

Assistant Executive Director of Instruction 


Mrs. Broadwell is in her 24th year of education and second year at the Anderson Institute of Technology.  She began her career at Abbeville High School and continued on to Anderson School District 5 as a science teacher in 2002. She received National Board Certification in 2002 and renewed that certification in 2012. In 2012, she began working for Anderson School District 3 as a science teacher and AP instructor afterward becoming the Instructional Coach at Crescent High School and working with the Administrative Leadership team. She transitioned back to Anderson School District 5 last year with the opening of Anderson Institute of Technology as a Biomedical Science Teacher.


As Assistant Executive Director of Instruction, Mrs. Broadwell supervises the testing administration of students. She supports teachers with the instructional process by observing and evaluating teachers as well as keeping up with state requirements for teacher certifications. She also makes recommendations for curriculum and personnel to the executive director.


I am married to Walt and we have two daughters, Taylor and Sydney.
