    8th Grade GTT Class Description
    Automation & Robotics

Automation and Robotics (AR) allows students to trace the history, development, and influence of automation and robotics as they learn about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Students use the VEX Robotics® platform to design, build, and program real-world objects such as traffic lights, toll booths, and robotic arms.

    7th Grade GTT Class Description
    Medical Detectives

Students explore the biomedical sciences through hands-on projects and labs that require the students to solve a variety of medical mysteries. Students investigate medical careers, vital signs, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as human body systems such as the nervous system. Genetic testing for hereditary diseases and DNA crime scene analysis put the students in the place of real life medical detectives.

    6th Grade GTT Class
    Flight & Space

The exciting world of aerospace comes alive through the Flight and Space (FS) unit. Students become engineers as they design, prototype, and test models to learn about the science of flight and what it takes to travel and live in space. They solve real-world aviation and space challenges and plan a mission to Mars.

All Classes (6th Grade - 8th grade) discover the design process and develop an understanding of the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. Students will work in teams to find innovative solutions to problems as we explore Design and Modeling (DM).
