Phillip Cason firstname.lastname@example.orgArtWelcome to my website, my name is Mr. Cason and I am looking forward to an incredible year of creating!
The art program at Varennes Elementary School seeks to introduce students to the basic design elements of line, shape, form, color, pattern, texture and composition in a sequential manner.
Through specific projects, students learn a variety of skills and techniques. The most important of these is a heightened visual perception, the ability to see as an artist.
Projects are presented as problems to be solved by the individual student in a unique manner. There is no right or wrong in art.
One cannot fail in art as long as one tries!
A little about Me.
I am currently in my nineth year of teaching. I love teaching art and feel fortunate to be at such a wonderful school with so many talented students.
Art has been a major part of my life since I was young. It was in middle school that I began taking my art to the next level. I attended the Fine Arts Center in high school and went on to The University of South Carolina to earn a B.F.A. in studio art. I decided to teach art after working in the graphic arts world for over 30 years. I returned to school and earned a B.S. in Art Education and then my Masters in Education. I have earned the Gifted and Talented endorsement.Credentials:
