Mrs. Taria Stokes McIntosh
Mrs. Taria McIntosh is beginning her 23rd year in education and 10th year as an elementary school principal. Before coming to Varennes, she had the opportunity to spend nine years as a principal in Laurens School District 55, and 11 years in Anderson School District Five as a teacher, SCRI middle school literacy coach, elementary curriculum specialist, and assistant principal. She also spent two years as a classroom teacher in Greenwood School Distsrict 50.
Mrs. McIntosh obtained her Education Specialist degree in educational leadership from South Carolina State University, a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Furman University,a Master of Education from Columbia College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Lander University.
Mrs. McIntosh believes that every child can learn and enjoys helping students achieve their goals. She and her husband, James, have two daughters, Amber and Tamira.
