Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Andrea Stowers and I am very excited for the opportunity to help your child "Thrive in Third Grade" at Varennes! This is my 5th year at Varennes and we will learn how to think with a growth mindset which means that with persistence, confidence, and willingness to learn; anything is possible! I graduated from The University of South Carolina with my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Anderson University with my Master of Arts in Teaching. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband, Marshall and two phenomenal children Santana and Madison!  I am a huge Gamecock and Redskins fan and love to show my pride by wearing garnet and black or maroon and gold whenever I get the chance. On the weekends you will find me at a Carolina game or parked in front of the television cheering for my Gamecocks or Redskins.

Teaching is my passion and I feel very lucky to get to do what I love every day. It is exciting to see students learn and grow in academic and social skills.  I am a huge advocate of teamwork and cooperative learning. I want all students to be encouraged and supported by one another.  Varennes Elementary students are the Rams this year. In Mrs. Stowers' class, this is what it means to be RAMS:

    Respect others

    Aim high

    Manage myself

    Stay safe

In my classroom, we are all part of the same team! Please feel free to contact me at andreastowers@anderson5.net or 864-260-5215 with any questions or concerns.
