    Coach Bona is a veteran teacher of 19 years who will be teaching Biology and Environmental Science.   Along with coaching golf, he enjoys spending his free time with his family.  Coach Bona was selected by the administration as the January 2019 Teacher of the Month.  His classes also won the 2021 Homecoming Door Decoration Contest.  In 2020, Coach Bona earned his master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University.

    Before coming to TL Hanna Coach Bona was in charge of the Strength and Conditioning at West Hall High School and served as the Spartan's defensive coordinator.  That year, they set school records in sacks(28), turnovers(25), and defensive touchdowns(5) en route to their first postseason win in over a decade.

    Prior to West Hall, he was the defensive coordinator at Central Gwinnett High School where he also taught CP and Honors Biology, Oceanography, and Resource Physics.  While at Central Gwinnett, Coach Bona received the biology award for high student test scores, as well as the Tally Johnson Assistant Coach of the Year award from the Gwinnett County Touchdown Club.
