In order to get resource services on this e-learning day, your student has the following assignments Please keep in mind they may only need to complete the activities for the subjects they are served in (math and/or ELA). For both activities, please have your child log on to their Chromebook and go to their Classlink. The links for both of the activities are on their Classlink. In order to get resource services on this e-learning day, your student has the following assignments. Please keep in mind they only need to complete the activities for the subjects that they receive services with me- some students are served for behavior, math, reading, and writing and others may be served in only some of those areas.
While completing the activities below, please track the number of prompts that were needed to complete each of the activities. I have attached a data sheet for you to keep track.
Login to Chromebook using student username/password given by the homeroom teacher. Go to http://www.abcya.com/ Spend 25 minutes practicing mathematical skills. Parents, please ensure your child is on a math game. If you do not have access to a Chromebook/internet, please complete the activity sheet provided.
Please pick a book and read it together. This can be a print book, an e-book, or even a wordless picture book. While reading the story or after reading the story, you could do any of the following activities.
- Describe the pictures/characters
- Answer Who-What-Where-How-When-Why questions
- Predict what will happen next and defend your answer
- How are people/things the same or different
- Recall events: beginning, middle, end
Kindergarten: As we are still working on our alphabet, please draw a picture to show the weather you are noticing outside. Please stay safe as you/your child completes this activity.
Grades 1-5: Login to Chromebook using student username/password given by the homeroom teacher. Go to your Classlink. If you cannot get to Classlink, click on the blue cloud icon near the top right-hand corner of the screen. Go to Google Docs. Click on the + sign to create a new document. While staying safe, I would like for you to write 3-5 sentences about the weather you are noticing outside. If you would like, you may draw a picture to match your writing on a piece of paper. We will share our writing/pictures in class the following day.
If you do not have access to a Chromebook/internet, you may complete this activity on notebook paper.
If you have any questions or concerns or need specific strategies not listed above, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be online during the hours of 9-10:30 and 1:30-3 on e-learning days. Please sign and return this form so your child can receive credit for attendance in resource on this e-learning day.
