Welcome to Art at Midway!!!

This will be my sixth year at Midway, and I am looking forward to this exciting year. We will be exploring a variety of areas of art, with an emphasis on creative thinking and problem solving.  Don't forget that we can get messy in art, so please have your child wear appropriate clothing on their art days.

 I attended college at The University of Southern Mississippi, where I received a BFA in Drawing and Painting and an MAE in Art Education.  I've taught for 7 years in Anderson District 2, and have also taught in Charlotte, NC and at Winthrop University.  My husband and I have 3 children, 6 dogs, and two cats.  I am an artist who paints murals and shows at art galleries, including Main Street Gallery in Clayton, GA. I also love to read, travel, ride bikes, hike, and attend plays and concerts.
