I graduated in 1977 from Belton-Honea Path High School. In 1981 I earned my Bachelor's degree from Furman University in Special Education. My Master's degree in Elementary Education was achieved from Lander University in 1987. I taught an ID severe and profound class at Whitten Center in Clinton from 1981-1984. Then I taught in Greenwood District #50 from 1984-1993. I taught at Ninety Six Elementary School from 1993 until 2000 when I transferred to Ninety Six High School. I taught there until June 2018. I really enjoy teaching teenagers and watching their excitement while mastering new subject material.
