Welcome to Mrs. Echols's ESOL Home Page!
A bit about me....
I have been an educator for over twenty years. I am grateful to be at Whitehall Elementary School as the English teacher for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
My mission is to meet each student where he or she is and shepherd that child as he learns to speak, listen, read and write English more fluently and with more confidence. Confidence is obtained by learning and then believing in oneself. I have the opportunity to witness this daily!
My family is my heart! I have a wonderful husband, Mike. We have four children: our son, Hayden, and his wife, Meaghan, and our daughter, Logan, and her husband, William. I am blessed to be the grandmother of a beautiful little girl, Gray Elizabeth. I enjoy spending precious time with my family, horseback riding, finding treasures at flea markets and yard sales, .....AND...... I am a huge Clemson Tiger Fan! I graduated from Clemson University with a BS degree in Animal Husbandry. I went on to get my teaching certificate fom Southern Wesleyan University and Masters of Education from Anderson University. I hope to pass along my love of being a lifelong learner to my students. I feel that when a student is motivated and confident, he or she can accomplish great things!
The future is VERY BRIGHT! My students are some of the smartest, kindest, and best human beings I have ever had the privilege of knowing. These boys and girls are destined to be world-changers! I am so excited to journey with these scholars as they learn, not only English, but also how to be great citizens in this great land!
