Happy New Year!!!! My name is Brandon L. McIntosh and I am the Assistant Principal at Homeland Park Primary School. I am extremely excited to join the Homeland Park Family and work with each of you.
I am a native of Anderson, S.C. and a proud product of Anderson County School District 5. I attended Nevitt Forest Elementary School, Southwood Middle School, and was an Honor Graduate and Teacher Cadet of TL Hanna High School in 2008. Upon high school graduation, I was afforded a full-academic scholarship to attend Claflin University. I am a proud 2012 Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Claflin University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, I had the pleasure of teaching 4th Grade in Richland County School District One for 3 years at Forest Heights Elementary School.
In 2015, I transitioned back to Anderson, S.C. to teach at Nevitt Forest Elementary School. During my tenure at Nevitt Forest, I taught 4th Grade for 1 year, 3rd Grade for 2 years, and served as the Title I Facilitator and Math Interventionist. I was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 academic school year and was a Top 3 District Finalist for District Teacher of the Year. It was truly a joy to have been granted the opportunity to return home to Nevitt Forest, the school where I received my educational foundation.
I earned my Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University on December 16, 2016. I also completed the Early Literacy Professional Development coursework on May 13, 2019 and Anderson School District Five’s Assistant Principal’s Academy on May 21, 2019. I had the privilege of serving at Centerville Elementary School from August 2019 until December 2020 where I served as the Administrative Assistant until I was offered the opportunity to serve at Homeland Park.
During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, hiking, and working with my clients to list or purchase their homes. #BuyWithBrandonLaPriest #KellerWilliamsWesternUpstate
I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Homeland Park Family as we work together to develop our students to ensure they become productive citizens of our ever changing global society! While this year might look a tad bit different, we are dedicated to following procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our HPPS Family! We thank you for entrusting each of our students into our care.
I am confident that it’s going to be an awesome year at HPPS! I look forward to working with each of you! Please feel free to contact me at (864) 260-5125 Ext. 23075 or via email at email@example.com
