Amigos Sin Fronteras, also known as Friends without Borders is a club for students who appreciate different cultures through food, music, clothing, or dances. Our goal is to welcome newcomers, help them navigate our system by integrating them into our school community. Students may also have the opportunity to make new friends while practicing foreign language skills.
Meetings are held every other Thursday in room 212 and one Monday per month.

ASTRA Club is an international service project of Altrusa International. Membership is open to young women and men between the ages of 13 and 21. Members will serve the community and school every month through projects adopted by the club. Members should maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher since ASTRA does involve time commitment. Scholarship and volunteering are rewarded with a $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating ASTRA senior at the Awards Ceremony.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month immediately after school in room 308.

The purpose of the T.L. Hanna High School Beta Club is to promote the ideals of character, leadership, service, and good citizenship. In addition, the Beta Club will encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school The Beta Club will serve students in grades 10-12 with a GPA of 3.75 or higher. Students must maintain an overall average of 3.75 GPA to retain membership. Annually, dues are $35 for new members and $15 for established/returning members. All dues are nonrefundable and are due by the first Monday in October each year.

This club will meet monthly or bi-monthly, depending on the length of the book selected. All students and faculty are welcome. Technology is welcome, so bring your tablet or phone with your digital copy to discuss books selected and read. If available, we may compare the books we read with the film version.
Meetings are held on Wednesdays after school in room 114 unless otherwise announced.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes challenges coaches and athletes to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ.

The club is for students who are in French II or higher.
Meetings are held during the second semester, with students gathering monthly at another member’s house to enjoy good French movies and French cuisine.

Future Educators is an organization that undertakes tasks to foster education in our school. Members engage with service activities in local elementary schools, and interact with educational professionals as guest speakers. Our major purpose is two-fold. First we recruit and encourage good students to consider careers in education. Also, we plan educational activities and teacher appreciation acts. When possible, we also provide tutoring services at local schools.
Meetings are held monthly after school.

Games unplugged is tailored for role playing games, board games, card games, etc. (non-video). This club is a place where students can come together for fellowship and fun. Students of any ability are welcome!
Meetings are held after school on Wednesdays in room 220 (Mr. Benson) and Thursdays in room 304 (Ms. Colvin).

The purpose of the Garden Club is to educate students on the different species of plants, the means to take of plants, and the opportunity to improve the school grounds. Our ultimate goal is to renovate the courtyard between the 100 and 200 halls to provide a much needed-upgraded to improve the upkeep and grounds of the school. The current goal is to finish renovating and landscaping the courtyard, plant and maintain a variety of plants, flowers, and trees, and educate the student body on the various types of plant life and ecosystems with educational placards once renovations are completed. This club requires a lot of hard-work, manual labor, and dedicated students. Annual dues is $10.00, this goes to help cover the cost of soil, plants, and equipment.
Meetings are held on Fridays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. in Room 104 and one Sunday a month from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Interact Rotary Club
Sponsored by Sarah Rinker, Social Studies Teacher; Brandy Greenlee, Special Ed Teacher; and Misael Rodriguez, Spanish Teacher
The Interact Club is a service club associated with Rotary International and works with Rotary Clubs in Anderson. Dues are $5.00 and members are required to do one service activity that is sponsored by the club each semester. All students with at last a B average in each class are welcome to attend.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month during homeroom/advisory in the media center.

Key Club is a community service organization associated with Kiwanis Clubs International. Sample activities include collecting money, toys and food for the less fortunate in Anderson. Students have also raised hundreds of dollars for various philanthropic causes (i.e. raised $624.18 for the Thirst Project, providing safe, clean drinking water to people around the world). Members are responsible for running the recycling program every Tuesday during homeroom/advisory at TL Hanna, which ensures the collection of paper and cardboard products in all of the offices and classrooms. Each member is required to do at least 25 hours of community service each year.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday during homeroom/advisory in the library.

This is a competitive math team for those students who want to test their mathematical abilities and problem solving skills against students from other schools. Students have the opportunity to qualify to compete at the state, national, and international levels. Members must have completed Algebra 1.
Meetings are held Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. in room 705.
Mock Trial Team
Members of the Mock Trial team will serve as attorneys and witnesses in the trial of a fictitious case against students from other high schools. The team will compete in the regional competition in February and have the opportunity to advance to the state championship in March. The state champion will represent South Carolina in the national championship in May.
Meetings are held Wednesdays after school in room 118 from October through March.
Mu Alpha Theta

This is a national honors society for mathematics that is dedicated to PROMOTING scholarships in mathematics and establishing MATH as an integral part of high school and junior college education. The club is open to juniors and seniors who have at least a 3.0 math GPA on the 4.0 scale. Members are responsible for paying a one-time $15 due, complete a minimum of 10 hours of tutoring in one of our before or after school tutoring labs and attend the annual induction ceremony.

National Art Honor Society

The National ART Honor Society (NAHS) is a nation-wide program offered to those who hold an interest in the visual arts. In NAHS, we partake in several art-related activities and services including (but not limited to) collecting art supplies for charity and volunteering for/participating in our annual NAHS Art Exhibition.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month during homeroom/advisory in room 404.
National Honor Society

This club is by invitation only with invitations sent via school email to the student in September of each school year. Juniors and seniors with a GPA of 4.00 or higher and have no OSS or full day of ISS the previous school year are eligible to be invited. National Honor Society students must exhibit leadership, scholarship, service, and character. Students are required to complete 12 hours of community service each year. Annual dues are $45.00, for the first year and $10.00 for the second year.
Meetings will be on Thursdays in the Lecture Hall from 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. The dates are set at the beginning of each year and are included in the student’s invitation. Students must attend 3 of the 5 meetings.
Pageant Production Crew

The pageant crew is for any student interested in choreographing, decorating, and planning the Miss and Mr. TLH Pageants. Club is open to all grades. Students will assist with the productions of both shows.

Random Acts of Kindness Club

The Random Acts of Kindness Club is for students who are dedicated to working together to promote kindness at T.L. Hanna High School. The club is open to all students who are interested in creating a positive school climate through small gestures of gratitude, support, and love.
Meetings are held twice each month on Thursdays during homeroom/advisory in Room 102.

The TL Hanna Step Team is an energetic group of students that are dedicated to enhancing school spirit through rhythmic sequences designed to captivate any audience. Step Team members will maintain academic success in all classes as well as be good citizens and represent the TL Hanna Step Team in a positive manner. The TL Hanna Step Team will perform at pep rallies, basketball games as well as other events within the community.
After try-outs, practices will be held on Wednesdays

The purpose of Student Council is to represent the interests of students and increase student decision-making power, to improve student life through the creation and continuation of viable and effective student services, to preserve and protect the traditions and legends of T. L. Hanna High School, and to support students and student organizations in their academic and community endeavors. Students run for the next year class and student body officers at the end of each school year with the exception of incoming freshmen. Freshmen run for office at the beginning of the school year.

Open to students in grades 9-12. Students will be coached at Carolina Superstars and will have some performances on campus at various events. This club will be open to students who have experience with baton twirling and would like to perform for their peers.
YCI (Youth Commission International)
