Mrs. Kimberly Whitehead

I am originally from Kentucky, where I grew up on a diversified livestock farm. Growing up my family raised pigs, horses, cattle, and donkeys. As a high school student, I was actively involved in my FFA chapter where I served as chapter Reporter, chapter Vice President, and Regional Historian. My agriculture classes and FFA memories are the most prevalent high school memories and I cherish them dearly. As a teacher, I enjoy getting to see students fall in love with the same organization I fell in love with when I was in their shoes.

Outside of school, I enjoy crafting, puzzles, playing board games, and reading.

I love Summer and Fall time, traveling, and watching movies.

My favorite color is purple and my favorite animal is a pig.

I am married to my husband Tyler and I have one step son Grayson. I am an active member of my church.

  • In Agriculture and Biosystems Science, students are introduced to Agriculture and explore each of the three concentrator pathways offered here at Anderson Institute of Technology. In addition to exploring the career pathways offered, students will learn employability skills, potential careers in each area, and leadership skills through getting involved in FFA. Students learn and apply knowledge learned in each unit to projects and will have multiple experiences in each of our lab facilities (greenhouses, Animal Research Center, Agriculture Mechanics Laboratory.)

This course is the prerequisite for all agriculture courses.
