Welcome to 3K and 4K!

My name is Mrs. Sarah Duncan. I graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelors in Special Education with a dual licensure in Elementary Education. This is my first year at South Fant School of Early Education and I am greatly enjoying working with all the staff here and I look so forward to getting to know your students this year.

In my classroom, we approach learning as a family: we celebrate the victories and encourage others to try again when things don’t go as we planned. Students spend a significant amount of time at school and I want them to know they belong are loved and needed in our classroom. As we are building our academic knowledge this year, we will also focus on those essential social emotional skills to help our students understand and express their own emotions, as well as understand the emotions of others. The goal in our classroom is for every students to end the year knowing and understanding more about the world and people around them. We accomplish this goal through interactive academic lessons which are cross-curricular with art, music, dance, and independent living skills (putting back pack away on our own, washing hands on our own, eating on our own, ect).

Lastly, I want to thank you for the privilege of spend time with you most precious gifts, your children. Further, here is a link for our classroom Google Site website: https://sites.google.com/anderson5.net/webloominthepurpleroom/home
