Welcome! I am thrilled to be your child’s PC teacher, and I am looking forward to a rewarding and productive year.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Anderson. My husband Drew and I have two children: Emerie (6) and Wells (2). We also have two furry family members at home: Cooper and Dottie. Our family loves to spend time together. We enjoy visiting the beach, going on neighborhood golf cart rides, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!
This will be my eighth year teaching. I received my degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University and my Gifted and Talented Certification from Converse College. During my teaching career, I have taught second, third (gifted and talented), and fourth grades. Some of my teaching experience has occurred here in Anderson at Midway Elementary and some in Summerville, SC. Although this is my first year joining Concord as a faculty member, we have been a part of the Concord Family for the past year, as my daughter, Emerie, attended Kindergarten here and will be in the first grade this year. I consider myself very fortunate to be joining such a professional and dedicated faculty.
Being a Project Challenge student is a proud honor. PC does not necessarily mean that there is going to be more work. However, we will be challenging our brains and evoking creative thinking on a daily basis. I know your child will rise to the challenge, and I am excited to see their growth this year!
It is my belief that we are working together as partners in the education of your child. As partners, communication is key. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I will email out monthly newsletters to keep you up-to-date on what we are doing in PC. Email is the best way to reach me. I look forward to the many things we can accomplish together this year in Project Challenge!
