Meet the Teacher: 

Hello! My name is Ms. Hamilton and I am so excited to teach strings at McCants and Glenview this year! We are going to have so much fun perfroming and learning about music. 

I am from the Anderson area and am actually a product of Anderson District 5. I graduated from TL Hanna high school in 2017 and then went to Anderson University to get a degree in music education. I am very passionate about the importance of the arts in a student's education. It creates a community of lifetime friends and provides an outlet for students' to express themselves. Music is such an important part of my life, and I hope to make music important to my students' lives. I believe every student can do anything they put their mind to, and I love seeing students learn and grow. 

Again, I am so excited to be teaching strings at McCants and Glenview this year and can't wait to get to know my students; make lots of beautiful music!

Credentials:  

I graduated from Anderson University in May of 2021, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's in Instrumental Music Education. During my time at AU, I was honored to recieve the outstanding music educator award.

Grading Scale: 

Major: 60% (Playing tests, performances, and written tests)

Minor: 40% (Weekly participation and worksheets)

Lesson Plans

Our class will be using Google Classroom for all major class announcements and information.
