Neely Harley

Hi!

My name is Neely Harley. I teach Biomedical Sciences here at AIT, and I love it! I just got married in December 2021, and we moved to the upstate together. Zach, my husband, does clinical research at Prisma, so we are a science family! We take care of my family dog and are enjoying getting to spend our lives together. When I was in college, I studied biology, and I loved it so much, I knew I wanted to share my passion with a new generation of students.

  • Class Overview

  • Biomedical Science is a four-course pathway, where each course is 9 weeks long. The first two and last two classes are taken in conjunction in one semester. The courses are as follows:

Principles of Biomedical Science: Students work through real-world scenarios as they solve a medical mystery case, diagnose and treat patients, and manage a large-scale emergency.

Human Body Systems: Students examine the interactions of human body systems and apply what they learn to solve real-world medical cases.

Medical Interventions: Students follow the lives of a fictitious family as they investigate how to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease.

Biomedical Innovation: Students work together to design innovative solutions for the most pressing health challenges of the 21st century.
