The Anderson School District Five Job Shadowing Program is designed as a short-term educational experience that encompasses one workday. The purpose of he shadowing experience is to introduce students to careers by pairing them with employees of businesses, agencies or industries related to their career interest.
Seniors may obtain job shadowing forms from the guidance office September 4 – 17, 2018.
The senior job shadowing date is September 25, 2018.
All required forms and documentation must be completed and returned to the guidance office by September 18, 2018, in order to participate.
Junior Leadership Anderson Announcement:
Junior Leadership Anderson invites all Anderson County high school juniors who are interested in participating in Junior Leadership Anderson 2019 to apply. Junior Leadership Anderson is a leadership development program sponsored by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce that encourages and empowers young people for leadership roles of the future. Students will learn about the Anderson community by touring businesses and agencies as well as meeting with community leaders. Thirty to thirty-five juniors from Anderson County high schools will be selected to participate in the program which will take place from January through May.
Juniors will have an opportunity to complete the JLA application on Thursday, October 4 from 8:30 until 9:30 in the Media Center at T.L. Hanna. A representative from JLA will be at Hanna to discuss the program and the application process. It is important for students to have a charged Chromebook and a completed resume to bring to the meeting. The application must be completed on October 4th during the meeting. Students should pick up an information packet from the Guidance Office prior to Oct. 3rd.
Juniors who plan to apply that have a class at the Career Campus will stay at Hanna during 1st block and a bus will transport students to the Career Campus after the meeting.
