Meal Services 2020-2021

A5VA Meal Services 2020-2021

The USDA has extended the free meal services to all students (18 years of age or younger) through the end of the current 2020-2021 academic year. Anderson School District Five Culinary Services will continue to provide FREE MEALS to ALL Anderson School District Five students through June 2021. This service applies to ALL students, both In-Person students AND Anderson Five Virtual Academy students. The current meal payment status of a student (as in, regardless if a student does OR does not receive Free & Reduced Lunch,) has NO BEARING ON ELIGIBILITY. Students who choose to bring their meal to school from home can STILL recieve free meals. Students who wish to purchase additional a la carte items (Ex: chips, cookies, soft drinks, etc.) may still do so, too. There is NO application necessary for ALL students to receive free meals through the serving line(s) at no cost.

Anderson School District Five Culinary Services will provide (free) meals to Anderson Five Virtual Academy (A5VA) students during the 2020-2021 school year. Meals will be available for pick-up Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Robert Anderson Middle School – 2308 Dobbins Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29626
  • Glenview Middle School – 2575 Old Williamston Road, Anderson, SC 29621
  • Whitehall Elementary School – 702 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29625
  • Calhoun Academy of the Arts – 1520 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621

A standard hot lunch will be provided and the option for a cold breakfast will be offered.  Meal availability schedule will follow the school district’s academic calendar. A5VA students do not have to be zoned for the pick-up location schools in order to receive a meal. Again, ALL students in Anderson Five will receive meals at NO COST through December 31, 2020.
