File Upload in Google Forms

Google added the feature to upload files within a Google Form. Take a look at how easy it is to create the form with the file upload question.

  • Create a Google Form in your Google Drive
  • Click the + on the right and choose File upload for question type

  • Click Continue (be sure to only share the form with people you trust-not the entire world)

  • Select the file size (10 MB would be sufficient for most projects. CAD drawings, 3D printer designs, Videos would be larger)

  • Select the type of file you are allowing students to upload.  If you have given students a choice in their project, select Allow all files. 
  • Click Apply

Senior Project

You will find a link to the file in your spreadsheet. A folder was also created in your Google Drive with the name of your Form.

When the student uploads the file directly from his/her Google Drive, a copy will be made, and the teacher becomes the owner of the copy.
