Anderson School District Five is located in the northwestern part of South Carolina, surrounded by beautiful Lake Hartwell. Anderson County is home to more than 180,000 people who love its warm climate, friendly atmosphere, beautiful setting and convenient location along I-85. It is a short drive to Clemson University, and two hours to either Atlanta or Charlotte. Anderson was awarded the All-America City Award in 2000 by the National Civic League.

Anderson Five is an urban school district, encompassing 112 square miles. We have 18 traditional brick and mortar schools that serve approximately 13,200 students in one early childhood school, eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools. Other campuses include South Fant Education Center, Anderson Adult Education Center, and C.F. Reames Education Center which houses a host of non-traditional programs including Anderson Five Charter School and ACE Academy. In partnership with Anderson School Districts 3 and 4, we also have a state of the art career and technology center; Anderson Institute of Technology.

Our school district is accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our state of the art technology, including laptops for teachers and modern facilities, is recognized nationally.
