Financial Services Mission

The purpose of the Office of Business and Finance is to provide leadership in the areas of financial management. Our goal is to promote a sound and effective financial management environment which supports and advances the district’s education mission and goals while promoting integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement in the financial areas. The Finance Department oversees the business operations of the school district. Its key responsibilities include managing the annual financial audit, coordinating property, casualty, crime, and cyber insurance, and ensuring that federal, state, and grant funds are received and used in accordance with established plans. The department also prepares monthly financial reports and is responsible for developing and administering the annual budget, under the direction of the Superintendent and with the approval of the School Board.

Certificate of Excellence

We often celebrate what happens inside the classroom to promote learning, but Anderson Five also works hard behind the scenes to be excellent stewards of our resources. We are pleased to share that Anderson School District Five has continued its recognition with two of the highest possible honors for financial reporting, demonstrating the district's financial integrity and dedication to transparency in sharing information above and beyond what is required. These awards are the Certificate of Excellence from the Government Finance Officers Association and the Certificate of Achievement from the Association of School Business Officials.
