Inclement Weather Plan

On mornings when the weather is treacherous (example: heavy rain, fog, ice, and/ or snow), please have your students ready to be picked up on time.  However, be prepared that the bus may be running behind due to the weather conditions. 

 

 

 

If there is a question about school schedules on any given day, please listen to the local radio/tv stations listed below for further information.  School closings and delays will also be posted on the home page of the district's website.  Announcement of school closings or schedule changes will be made by 6:15 am. On mornings with 1, 2, or 3 hour delays, students will be picked up 1, 2, or 3 hours later from there pickup time.  Again, please allow at least a 10-15 minute window for pick up time due to the road conditions.

 

 

In the event that there is an emergency closing of school, announcements will be made over local radio and television stations, and Anderson 5 district website homepage.  Transportation for bus riders will be provided unless conditions prove to be too hazardous.  Parents should talk with their child (ren) to discuss their inclement weather plan in order to insure a safe return home.
