Medications at School

Medication Procedures

• All medication must be delivered to the School Nurse or other designated staff by the student's parent/legal guardian 
• All prescription medication must be in the original container and have the pharmacy label attached  
• All prescription medication must have written physician and parental authorization before medication can be administered at school

• All OTC medication must have written parental authorization before medication can be administered at school
• All OTC  medication may be provided by the parent/legal guardian and delivered to the School Nurse

• All OTC medication must be in a new, unopened container, and clearly labeled with the student's name
